Update to Child Safety Education

In alignment with our organisation’s commitment to providing safe experiences for children, we have updated the education required by all new coaches as part of the registration process for Accredited and Community Coaches.

All new Accredited and Community Coaches will need to attend/view a 30-minute webinar on Children Protection Training, delivered by Safeguarding Children NZ.

There will be three options for delivering this presentation:

  1. Online webinar – this will be delivered throughout the year on four separate dates via Zoom. Please click on the appropriate date to register for the webinar. These links will also be available in the receipt confirmation after you have registered.
    1. Wednesday 26 May, 7pm-7.30pm
    2. Wednesday 28 July, 7pm-7.30pm
    3. Wednesday 6 October, 7pm-7.30pm
    4. Wednesday 17 November, 7pm-7.30pm
  2. View the webinar recording – a link will be sent to you to view the recorded webinar at your own time.
  3. Attend a "live webinar" – live webinars will be presented throughout the year alongside the NZ Cross Country Championships, NZ AGM/Club Connect and Road Race Championships and the NZ Secondary School Athletics Championships.

In the registration process, you will be asked to select your preferred choice for completing the child safety education.
